My Favorite Anti-Aging Fruit + Recipe
Mangos are my favorite fruit, they are known as “the king of fruits”
Mangos have health and beauty benefits from the inside out. Beyond the sweet, luscious taste of mangos, they are vitamin powerhouses! On top of that, they contain an abundance of minerals and antioxidants to ensure optimum health.
Nutrient absorption and releasing toxins is a must for health and beauty. Fresh mango is a great beauty enhancer. The fiber in mango helps with digestion and prevents constipation. They also have certain enzymes that comfort the stomach.
Mangos have high amounts of Vitamin A and C
These vitamins help produce collagen proteins inside the body. Collagen helps protect the body’s connective tissues, thereby slowing down the aging process. The Vitamin K in mangos promotes healthy bones and the high level of anti-oxidants is known to prevent degenerative disease. Therefore, mangos can rightly be called an anti-aging food.
A long-told myth about mangos
It was a long-told myth that one should avoid mangos because of the sweet taste and high sugar content. But research published in the Journal of the Science of Food and Agriculture in 2015 found that a compound in mango “mangiferin” has anti-diabetic properties.
Mango benefits your skin
After you eat a mango, don’t throw away the seed just yet! You can take the leftover seed and rub it on your face before taking a shower. Mango’s high amount of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Beta-Carotene contribute to skin cell renewal, giving the skin radiance and glow.
